Mimico Addition

Basement 702 sq.ft. | Ground 702 sq.ft. | Second 785 sq.ft.

The existing post-war bungalow was fully reconfigured and a second floor addition was added on top. The basement now has an open rec room space along with a 3-piece bathroom, and a mechanical/laundry room. The ground floor now has an enlarged foyer with a powder room along with a front living room with a centrally located staircase to separate the front and rear of the house. The rear has a large U-shape kitchen with an island along with a dining room with a dry bar and sliding door to the rear deck. The second floor addition created 2 kid’s bedrooms with a 3-piece bathroom along with a primary bedroom with a 4-piece ensuite. The staircase ceiling is vaulted with skylights to bring daylight into the hall and ground floor below. On the exterior, the existing brick was maintained on the ground floor and a new covered front porch was added. The second floor addition was done in a white stucco and the new roof has black asphalt shingles to give the house a contemporary look. The existing deck was refinished to blend in with the contemporary look as well.
