The existing garage on the property was converted to a 2-storey laneway suite by adding a rear and second floor addition. The garage was maintained on the ground floor whilst adding a bedroom with a 3-piece ensuite and a foyer to access the new suite. The second floor holds the primary bedroom with a 4-piece ensuite along with a stacked laundry and open concept kitchen/living/dining space facing the backyard of the property. There’s also a balcony off the living space which can fit a bistro set. On the exterior, the existing brick was painted black to match the new siding of the addition. Black aluminum canopies wrap around the windows and doors with wood siding elements in between to create depth and contrast on the facade.
