The 1-storey addition to the existing semi-detached house adds a lot of function to the ground floor by creating a powder room, mudroom, and office space along with a new deck to the backyard. The ceiling is vaulted in the addition with skylights centred over the existing openings on the back of the house to bring daylight back to the kitchen/dining space. On the exterior, the dark grey siding and wood deck create a nice contrast with the existing red brick on the house. The deck walks down to the backyard parking off the laneway.
